Racing Career Highlights

1996-1997 Club Racing
Started racing in 1996 on a FZR600 - bit of a learning season but with enough promise to carry on in 1997. Rode an ‘Alf’s Ducati 900SS’ and did several rounds of the New Era Superclub - Sounds of Thunder, ending up 3rd overall.

1998 Sounds of Thunder
Competed in the New Era Superclub - Sounds of Thunder – won the championship.

1999 - 2007 - Endurance Racing
1999 - 2000 - Saw a good few class wins and results on a Ducati 748.

For 2000/2001/2002 the next step was a Ducati 996RS which was fast but unreliable we lead every race in 2002, but only finished one! In 2003 I joined Team Psyclo on a Suzuki GSXR1000 - finished 2nd in the championship.

In 2004 I rode for Track daze in World Endurance at 24hr in Germany and 6hr races at Brno twice. Other World Endurance races of note were the 24hr BolD’or and 6hr. races in China and at Brands Hatch.

In 2005, I competed on a Kawasaki ZX9-R in the KRC UK Endurance Championship, won 1 race and finished 2nd overall in the standings. We also competed at World Endurance level at the Le-Mans 24hr, finishing 18th overall, followed by the Spa Francorchamps 24hr and another top 20 finish.

For the last two years I have been riding for HMR Racing with Richie Wight, Hugh Brasher and the boys in the KRC and HMRC UK Endurance Championships.

2007 - UK Endurance Champion with Team GBmoto including two wins and two second places.

I recently competed in two KRC 2hr races for Team GBmoto at Mallory Park and Pembrey. We finished 7th in the first round (after mechanical problems during the race) and won at Pembrey. The team are currently 2nd in the KRC Endurance Championship.

Other Racing…
In 2003, I raced at the Scarborough Gold Cup and finished 3rd in the Dave Jefferies Superbike Final (with a broken foot!).
In 2006 I raced for the first time in the Isle of Man - Junior TT on an ‘03 ZX6R (borrowed from a customer!) and achieved a 110mph lap.
